What the group offers :

 

  • The Group is for everyone interested in the production of slide-tape and digital sequences.
  • Founded in 1977, we have become one of the liveliest and most active groups in the RPS.
  • Having set the standard of excellence for everyone who produces non-commercial slide tape and digital sequences.  The Group strives to expand the skills and techniques of individual workers by encouragement, guidance and involvement.
  • We have a National network of organizers who regularly hold workshops, which include demonstrations, tuition and critiques to assist with your productions.
  • The RPS award Distinctions for outstanding work at three levels, Licentiateship, Associateship and Fellowship and our regional events are often linked with Distinction advisory and assessment days.
  • The Groups magazine “AV NEWS” is published four times a year and sent exclusively to all members.  It’s full of news, reviews of equipment, diary of events and  ‘how-to-do-it’ articles.
  • The International AV Festival and the National AV Championships are organised on alternate years.  Both occasions provide the opportunity of enjoying some of the best AV currently in production; both in slide tape and digital.
  • The Group is actively supporting the development of digital AV, and members are involved in advising improvements to the software.
  • Members of the Group value the friendships and opportunities for exchanging ideas, knowledge and skills with an ever-widening circle of devotees.
