Friday 5th December 7.30pm – An evening with Wigan 10

Wigan 10 is a small, in some ways slightly unusual, group of photographers who just seem to keep winning awards. Tonight we will gain an insight into how they do it. Their lecture, a new one, will cover:-

  • The Mystique of Wigan 10 - explaining how the club is run

  • A selection of brand new images from the group members which have only recently been taken

  • A showing of the winning images from the FIAP Clubs’ World Cup

This promises to be an extremely interesting evening with many stunning images on show. It will be open to the general public, so we would advise booking in advance.

Saturday 6th December 10.00am – Great Northern Competition
Closing date 14th November 2008

A National AV competition open to anybody resident in the British Isles and to overseas members of British AV Groups. There is a special prize for the best beginner’s sequence, so everyone is in with a chance. This is an excellent opportunity to see both National/International standard AV and what can be achieved by relative newcomers, all in one competition.

This Year's Jury are :-

  • Colin Balls FRPS APAGB - Chairman (UK)

  • Erhard Hobrecker FRPS (Switzerland)

  • Bryan Stubbs LRPS (UK)

Sunday 7th December 10.00am – RPS NW AV Day
The RPS AV Day will be all about learning and entertaining. Starting with attenders’ Sequences, followed by the Guest Speakers, the Judges from Saturday's Competition

The 321 International Festival 2009

The UK Event will be held at Aldbourne, Wiltshire on 15th February 2009
Closing Date : 27th December 2008

The maximum duration of a Sequence must NOT exceed
3 minutes 21 seconds

The idea of this challenge is to hold a Festival with several juries, within the geographic locations of the organisers. The Event will be held in 13 Countries, so each club or group will ensure that qualified judges select the winners for their location. Beyond a simple prize list, the main aim of our Festival is to exchange, judge and to publicise digital Audio Visual sequences beyond the geographic area of your club.
The judging will be public.

The Challenge Diaporama 321 is organized by the workshop of André Parmantier, audiovisual section of GAPHE. The final prize list is obtained by adding together the points from each group. The Grand Prix of the competition rewards the sequence having amassed the most points in the whole circuit.

Entry Fee for one or more Sequences : Euro€15
Entries may be sent via yousendit.com
