SATURDAY 5th December 2009 at 10.00am Great Northern Festival – A National Audio-Visual Competition, lasting all day. In addition to the main prizes, there is a special prize for the best beginner’s sequence, so everyone is in with a chance. This is an excellent opportunity to see both National and International standard A-V, and what can be achieved by relative newcomers, all in one competition. Finishing time will depend on the number of entries.
SUNDAY 6th December 2009 at 10.00am Royal Photographic Society North West A-V Day – Attenders' Sequences with comments from our guest speakers and other members of the audience. Our guest speakers will be the three judges from Saturday who will talk about and show some of their work, dropping numerous nuggets of useful information along the way.
Tea, coffee and home-made cake are included in the admission charges on Saturday and Sunday, lunch is available if pre-booked, or you can bring your own sandwiches. The usual information and bring-and-buy second hand equipment stands will be present. You will be welcome on any day, or for the whole weekend.
Information packs will be sent in the Autumn to all previous attendees, and anyone else whom we think might be interested. If you don’t receive yours, if you wish to be added to our mailing list, (or be deleted from our mailing list!) or need any other information, just give us a ring. For information about Friday and Saturday ring Suzanne or Howard. For information about Sunday, ring Bill.

The 321 International Festival 2009
The idea of this challenge is to hold a Festival with
several juries, within the geographic locations of the
organisers. The Event will be held in 13 Countries, so each
club or group will ensure that qualified judges select the
winners for their location. Beyond a simple prize list, the
main aim of our Festival is to exchange, judge and to
publicise digital Audio Visual sequences beyond the
geographic area of your club. The Challenge Diaporama 321 is organized by the workshop of André Parmantier, audiovisual section of GAPHE. The final prize list is obtained by adding together the points from each group. The Grand Prix of the competition rewards the sequence having amassed the most points in the whole circuit.
